Tip: Make sure that your patient’s continuous bladder irrigation is consistently monitored for outflow to see to it no clots may be causing excess fluid retention.  TURP – Transurethral resection of the prostate is a type of prostate surgery done to relieve urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate, a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).  Excess prostate tissue is trimmed away during this procedure.
