Dr. Ephrat mentions seeing osteomas in the ear canal.  Those are the white bumps at the top of the ear canal and are benign (non-cancerous) extra bone growth coming from the skull.

  These views are great as they are huge.  Usually you are using an otoscope and looking directly at the ear drum (tympanic membrane or “TM”) through a hole opening only a few millimeters across.  With technology now you can attach an otoscope to your smartphone and get a better view on your screen.
